- Adolph Coors Foundation - I would like to thank my sponsor for giving me a full scholarship to the Frontiers of Science Institute. They sponsored my room and board, course tuition, and mentored research. Without them, I would not have been able to attend FSI because of financial struggles, and I am eternally grateful to have been given this wonderful opportunity.
I would also like to thank my research partner, Vikas Muralidharan, for cooperating with me on this amazing project and learning experience. I learned a few things from him that made our research and data collection much easier. We worked together for countless weeks and at times expressed our joy, and sometimes regrets for parts of the project that we had to complete. Overall, having a research partner in addition to a mentor was a great experience and I won't forget this summer because of that.
In addition to Vikas, I would like to thank our research mentor, Kaitlyn Raub. She has helped us for the entire six weeks that we have been attending FSI with out project and has taught us much of what we know about quasars/AGN and using DS9. Although she maintains another job and was not able to be here for some days of research, she would always reach out to us via email to check in and provide us outlines for our data tables and research paper. It was great working with her and she truly cares for the project and our growth.
Finally, I would like to acknowledge the FSI program and everyone involved, including the instructional staff, director, and as well as my peers. The fact that this program has been alive for so long and is so structured makes me thankful that I was able to attend. I'm grateful for all who gave into the program to keep it alive and well. This was a phenomenal experience; I'm glad I was able to be a part of the FSI legacy, and here during the 60th anniversary celebration.
